New Lenox

It is is conveniently located near Mokena, Frankfort and Orland Park. New Lenox is also known for its multi campuses: Lincolnway High School District 210. The beautiful Rialto Square Theatre located just six miles to the west –Joliet Illinois. For those who enjoy the outdoors, New Lenox features Sanctuary Golf Course. Old Plank Trail is a 21-mile asphalt hiking and biking nature trail that travels through the heart of New Lenox with an access psoint at the Village Hall in the Commons.

For us amateur photographers I have taken my best pictures at Bird Haven Greenhouse Conservatory on Gougar Road-on the border of New Lenox. Exquisite flowers and waterfalls all year round. Don’t forget to walk the beautiful nature trails adjoining this greenhouse!  It only takes 10 minutes to get to Brook Hills from here…..right down SW Highway!

• The New Lenox Community Park District’s Annual Proud American Days Festival is held each year on the last weekend in July. 
• The Chamber’s Halloween Fest is held annually on the Saturday prior to Halloween and features frightful fun for hundreds of area families.
• On the first Sunday of December, the Village invites families to join them for Christmas in the Commons. This family-friendly holiday event includes sleigh rides, visit with Santa, and more!
